Podium TKC Practice Races give drivers the opportunity to experience ourr racing environment without the pressure of championship points. While designed with newer competitive drivers in mind, Practice Races are open to all eligible Podium TKC drivers looking to build racecraft, gain confidence, or get additional racing experience.
Practice Races will be available after every AM and PM testing session on designated testing days. Drivers will complete a short qualifying session followed by a practice race, giving them the opportunity to practice starts, overtaking, defending, running in traffic, and making decisions at racing speed.
Drivers will run at the required weight for their respective Podium TKC class, helping ensure the kart performs similarly to what they can expect during an official race. Depending on attendance, Practice Race sessions may combine drivers from different weight categories rather than separating each class into its own race. When participation allows, drivers may also be split into Novice and Experienced groups to create a more comfortable and appropriate racing environment based on each driver’s experience level.
These sessions are focused on learning, development, and preparation. No championship points will be awarded, and results will not count toward Podium TKC season standings. This creates a lower-pressure environment where drivers can experiment, improve their racecraft, and become more comfortable racing closely with others.
